Pedro de Llano Neira












Pedro de Llano Neira is an art historian and curator working at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. His postdoctoral research focused on the transatlantic exchanges between Europe and America in the time of Conceptual art, with a series of scholar writings on artists such as Bas Jan Ader (2021), John Knight (2013), Maria Nordman (2020), David Lamelas (2017), and the Los Angeles dealer Claire Copley (2016). In 2015 he curated the first retrospective exhibition of the pioneer of post-colonial art, Maria Thereza Alves, at the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo in Seville (with a catalogue published by Sternberg Press in 2017). In July 2021, de Llano curated a retrospective exhibition of the Argentinian artist David Lamelas for the CGAC museum in Santiago de Compostela (Spain). He is currently editing a book on his practice.



Pedro de Llano Neira é um historiador da arte e curador que trabalha na Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Espanha. A sua pesquisa de pós-doutoramento incidiu nas trocas transatlânticas entre Europa e América no tempo da arte conceptual, com uma série de trabalhos académicos sobre artistas como Bas Jan Ader (2021), John Knight (2013), Maria Nordman (2020), David Lamelas (2017) e a galerista de Los Angeles Claire Copley (2016). Em 2015 foi curador da primeira exposição retrospectiva da pioneira da arte pós-colonial, Maria Thereza Alves, no Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo em Sevilha (com catálogo publicado pela Sternberg Press em 2017). Em Julho de 2021, de Llano foi curador de uma exposição retrospectiva do artista argentino David Lamelas para o museu CGAC em Santiago de Compostela (Espanha). Atualmente está editando um livro sobre  a obra deste artista.
