Lev Ilizirov, born in Makhachkala, The Republic of Dagestan, Russian Federation, 1979. He studied at Bezalel School of Fine Arts, Jerusalem (2003-2008) and completed a residency at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam (2009-2010). He works with photography, installation and video and uses his environment to approach abstract questions concerning our society and our contemporary existence. The image collection contributes to the ever-growing archive for a deeper study of society as mass and of existence as chaos. He lives and works in Paris.
Currently, he benefits from a studio at Poush, in Aubervilliers.
