Juan Luis Toboso












É curador, investigador e professor. Vive entre Valência, Espanha e Porto, Portugal. Ph.D. em Belas Artes pela Universitat Politécnica de València. Professor auxiliar convidado na ESAP. Sua pesquisa foca-se na criação de novos processos contemporâneos de criação, bem como na investigação de novos territórios da produção, crítica e difusão das artes. Desenvolveu projectos artísticos e curatoriais no contexto da produção e o pensamento das Arte Contemporânea de forma independente e em colaboração com alguns centros de arte internacionais como o IVAM - Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno, a Culturgest do Porto, o CCCC - Centro de Cultura Contemporânea do Carmen, o Museu de Arte Contemporânea. Serralves, Azkuna Zentroa em Bilbao e Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, entre outros. Atualmente é Curador Sénior da Galeria Municipal de Arte Contemporânea do Porto.



Is a curator, researcher, and lecturer living between Valencia, Spain, and Porto, Portugal. Ph.D. in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politécnica de València. Invited Assistant Professor at ESAP. His research focuses on the creation of new contemporary processes of creation, as well as the research of new territories in the common production, criticism, and diffusion of the arts. He has developed curatorial projects in the context of contemporary arts and knowledge independently and in collaboration with some international art centers such as the IVAM – Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno, Culturgest do Porto, CCCC - Centro de Cultura Contemporánea del Carmen, Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves, Azkuna Zentroa in Bilbao and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, among others. Currently Senior Curator of the Municipal Gallery of Contemporary Art in Porto.
