PhD in Cultural Studies, Justus Liebig University (Giessen, Germany) and Associate Researcher at Gobierno y Analisis Político A.C. (Mexico). She was awarded the DAAD Scholarship and assigned Fellow Researcher at theGraduate Center for the Study of Culture (GCSC), she was also enrolled in the International PhD Program “Literary and Cultural Studies” (IPP) during which she worked at the research areas “Cultural Narratologies” and “Visual and Material Cultural Studies”. She has lectured at various European and Latin-American institutions and organizations such as Justus-Liebig University, Germany; Escola Superior Artística do Porto, Portugal; Lumiére University, France; Sergio Arboleda University, Colombia; Association for the Study of Cuban Economy (ASCE); International Book Fair of Bogota and Latin American Studies Association (LASA), where she is also member. Among her recent publications are Literature, Politics and Society: Four Representations of Imaginaries in the Cuban Revolution (2021, Hypermedia); Memes, satires and tropes in Cuba: digital humor as infrapolitics in the post-evolution (2020, Revista Foro Cubano) and with Louis Thiemann, Multiple economies and daily resistance in Cuba: A transition from below (2020, GIGA/Foro Europa).
